Description of Significance THE PETER CONSER HOUSE IS MAINTAINED AS A MEMORIAL TO PETER CONSER, CHIEF LIGHTHORSEMAN OF THE MOSHOLATUBBEE DISTRICT OF THE CHOCTAW NATION, AS WELL AS TO OTHER TRIBAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS. IT IS A TWO-STORY VERNACULAR FARMHOUSE BUILT IN AN L-SHAPE IN 1894. CONSER LIVED IN THE HOUSE FROM 1894 UNTIL HIS DEATH IN 1934. LISTED IN NATIONAL REGISTER 6/21/1971.
